Mobile App Developer Opportunity

We are a small organization with a really big future. MajorLeagueFantasySports.com is a privately owned fantasy sports news website that has grown from its humble beginnings in 2007 into the high exposure, invaluable resource that it is today. With 13 writers, 4 editors, two podcast radio hosts, and one resident website admin/application developer, the site is on track to exceed 20 million hits, half-a-million visitors, and 300,000 unique site visitors by the end of 2018.

We are currently working hard to strategically monetize this quality traffic as we’re building an MLFS mobile app that will take our tools and outstanding analysis out to the masses, and really take the MLFS experience to a whole new level. We are currently about 75% of the way through our initial development and we are looking to hopefully launch our beta for testing in late January to early February. With the help of 1 or 2 more developers we could get this beta testing phase off the ground much sooner than that, and if you are familiar with any of the following areas, we’d love to hear from you!

  • Ionic 3 Mobile Platform (Cordova backend)
  • Nodejs and Angular
  • Android and iOS native app development
  • General mobile app development
  • Firebase backend and single sign-on
  • Managed notification platforms
  • Mobile App Store Interaction and Maintenance

We’re currently a small shop with just a single developer, and initially this would be a pro-bono involvement with a huge opportunity to get into the ground floor of an organization with amazing potential. Time commitment would be roughly 3 to 5 hours per week. If you’re interested in looking into this opportunity fill out the short form below. In the background section give us a brief description of your experience in mobile development and programming. Be sure to have an email and a working phone number in the form. We will reach out afterward to schedule a brief telephone interview.

General IT/Web/Backoffice resource for MLFS. After sitting down with Corey and getting a good look at the time and effort needed to maintain this wonderful endeavor, I definitely wanted to step up and help out any way that I could. I've spent the last 20 years in the telecom and software development industries, doing everything from building corporate automation systems, to creating and maintaining websites, to building and implementing avionics systems for FAA flight simulators. I have a healthy love of fantasy sports, and even commissioned a small family league for a few years. (Nothing to THIS scale, for sure, but good times nonetheless) I'm here to support Corey and the operation, but if there is anytyhing technical or site-related that I can help out with, feel free to hit me up anytime.
